Tax-Aide offers help to seniors, low-income in DuPage
Volunteers in the South DuPage District of the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide program will provide free income tax filing assistance at area locations, including Lisle and Naperville, until mid-April.
The assistance is available to middle- and low-income residents, especially seniors older than 60.
To set up an appointment, contact one of the following locations:
Ÿ Lisle Park District Senior Center, (630) 969-0992. Appointments are between noon and 4 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays; call between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. weekdays to make appointments.
Ÿ Naperville Park District’s Rubin Riverwalk Community Center, (630) 848-3613. Appointment times are between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays; call between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. weekdays to make appointments.
Bring your last tax return and tax records; Social Security or taxpayer identification numbers for yourself and dependents; W-2s and all other information about potentially taxable income; information about potentially tax-deductible items, such as alimony payments, dependent care expenses, student loan interest and tuition payments, real estate tax bill and mortgage interest, medical costs, and receipts for charitable donations.
