Texas Hold ‘Em event in Lake in the Hills to benefit cancer patient

A Texas Hold ’Em and silent auction to benefit the Nicole Marie Medical Fund will be held beginning at 5 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 25, at the American Legion Lodge #1231, at 1101 W. Algonquin Road, Lake in the Hills.

Nicole Marie is a radiology student and recently diagnosed with a rare form of cancer and will be undergoing extensive chemotherapy treatments. Fees for the event are $65 for buy-in and $50 for re-buy. One-third of the buy-in total will be awarded as prizes. T-shirts will also be available for sale.
