LITH poker, auction to help student with cancer

A Texas Hold ’Em and silent auction to benefit the Nicole Marie Medical Fund will be held beginning at 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at the Lake in the Hills American Legion Post 1231, 1101 W. Algonquin Road, Lake in the Hills.

Nicole Marie is a radiology student and recently diagnosed with a rare form of cancer and will be undergoing extensive chemotherapy treatments.

The fees for the event are $65 for buy-in and $50 for re-buy. One-third of the buy-in total will be awarded as prizes. T-shirts will also be available for sale.
