Learning about accessible public transportation at Friendship Village
Craig Yunker, president/founder of MoreAbled Inc., recently presented information on the ease of using accessible public transportation at Friendship Village in Schaumburg.
Approximately four dozen Friendship Village residents have attended programs sponsored by the RTA, focusing on the use of accessible public transportation.
Presenter Craig Yunker said that the program is designed to help increase awareness about the ease of using Pace, Metra and the CTA.
Craig, who was a former body builder, is quadriplegic as the result of a diving accident. His presentation is based on his own knowledge and experience in using public transportation. Craig is the founder/president of MoreAbled Inc.
During the Feb. 6th presentation, Richard Bascomb, transportation planner for the Village of Schaumburg, was on hand to address local public transportation topics.
On Feb. 23, Craig will lead a computer workshop about online trip planning.
The program is free and open to the public. For reservations or additional information, call Jeannette at (847) 884-5539.
