D-15 removes band, orchestra from possible budget reductions

At the Community Consolidated School District 15 Board of Education meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 8, the administration will be making recommendations on cost reduction measures to address the district's projected $9.6 million structural deficit for the 2012-13 school year.

Previously, the district administration had shared a draft list of ideas that included reductions to elementary band and orchestra.

After receiving feedback at various constituent group forums, the administration has determined that the final proposal it will present to the board will not include reductions to band and orchestra.
