Cantigny Golf Show features new equipment on Feb. 2

Cantigny Golf will sponsor the first Cantigny Golf Show from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, at 27W270 Mack Road, Wheaton.

The show will be the first opportunity of the year for area golfers to sample the new 2012 equipment lines from major club manufacturers. Confirmed exhibitors include TaylorMade, Cleveland, Mizuno, Miura, Nike, Titleist, Tour Edge and Wilson Staff.

“We’re excited to bring all these great brands together for a sneak peek at what’s new for the upcoming season,” said Everett Lockenvitz, Cantigny Golf Academy master club fitter and master club builder.

“This will be a fun event for everyone, and a truly special opportunity for golfers who may be considering new clubs for 2012.”

In addition to the equipment showcase, the Cantigny Golf Show will feature programs by Cantigny’s teaching professionals, clubfitting seminars and golf fitness demonstrations. Prize drawings will be held every 30 minutes.

“This event provides a great chance to see the new product lines for 2012, but, more importantly, our guests will have access to the experts in the field, including the equipment reps and our own clubfitters, Everett Lockenvitz and Pat Hickey,” said Patrick Lynch, Cantigny head golf professional.

“We’re also looking forward to showing off our year-round Golf Academy, especially to first-time visitors.”

Admission is $10, free for kids ages 12 and younger; parking is complimentary.
