Schaumburg hires Carpentersville finance director

Schaumburg has hired Carpentersville Finance Director Lisa Happ to be its own, beginning immediately.

Happ succeeds Doug Ellsworth, who left Schaumburg to go into private practice last April. Assistant Director Jodie Andrew has been running Schaumburg’s finance department as acting director since then.

Happ began working for Carpentersville as its assistant finance director in 2004 and was named finance director in 2005. Prior to working for Carpentersville, Happ worked as deputy treasurer for Lee County, Ill., from 1999 to 2004.

“On behalf of the village of Schaumburg, I’d like to welcome Lisa Happ to our team,” Schaumburg Village Manager Ken Fritz said. “We look forward to working with her to continue to offer Schaumburg residents first class service.”
