WIFF Presents “In A Better World”

Due to the recent snowstorm last Friday, the Woodstock Theatre decided to cancel its Annual Woodstock International Film Festival (WIFF) presentation of “In a Better World,” which took the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film at the 2011 ceremony. “In a Better World” (R) has been rescheduled for this Wednesday, January 25th at 7 PM. Single tickets are $7.50. The Woodstock Theatre is located at 209 Main Street.

“In a Better World” (R): When schoolboys Christian and Elias are involved in a violent incident, their fathers are initially unable to grasp the full implications of the boy's actions. Elias' father, Anton, an idealistic doctor often absent from home, tries to communicate his own commitment to non-violence to the boys, but the troubled Christian continues to see Anton's beliefs as a sign of weakness.

Participate in a film discussion with Victor Aronovich at La Petite Creperie on the Square after the 7 PM show. Victor Aronovich is from Prime Time Production with more than 25 years of creating award-winning media. He is also a former writer, producer and director at ABC-TV.
