4 charged in Mount Prospect home burglary
Four residents of Chicago’s West Side were caught fleeing the scene of a home burglary in Mount Prospect Tuesday afternoon, according to police.
A neighbor of a home on the 500 block of North Wille Street spotted two thieves removing electronics from the home about 1 p.m. Tuesday and called 911, Mount Prospect police announced Wednesday.
Police responding to the call spotted a pickup truck the witness saw the suspects loading the gear into and stopped the vehicle at Main and Henry streets, according to authorities.
The four occupants of the vehicle were questioned at the station and admitted to being involved in the burglary, police said.
All four were charges with one count of burglary, but investigators continue to investigate whether they committed burglaries in other towns, police said.
Jose Perez, 24, of the 2800 block of South Drake, Jesus Salmeron, 18, of the 2800 block of South Drake, Cesar Flores, 21, of the 3800 block of West 24th Street, and Celia Barbera, 23, of the 2800 block of South Christiana Avenue are due in court Thursday for a bond hearing.
