Registration open to all ages for “Addison's Got Talent!”

If watching Dancing with the Stars and American Idol leave you thinking, “I could do that,” then now is your chance to show off your talent. Addison residents are invited to participate in the annual Addison's Got Talent! competition on Friday, February 24th beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Centennial Recreation Center, 1776 W. Centennial Place.

Talents of all kinds are permitted for this competition. Entries may be soloists, duets, or group acts. Each performance is limited to 3 minutes and must provide an accompaniment on a CD. There is a $5.00 registration fee to participate. All entries are due by Thursday, February 10th. To register your act, please call the Addison Park District office at 630-833-0100 or stop by Community Recreation Center at 120 E. Oak Street.

The competition will be judged in six age categories including: toddler – 7 years of age; tweens ages 8 – 12 years old; teens from 13 – 19 years old; young adults from 20 – 29 years of age; adults from 30 – 49 years of age; and active adults ages 50 and greater. Prizes will be awarded in each age category.

Admission to the performance of “Addison's Got Talent!” is free and open to the public. The show is from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Friday, February 24 at Centennial Recreation Center, 1776 W. Centennial Place. Family and friends of each participant are encouraged to come out and support Addison's rising stars.
