No one injured in Mount Prospect garage fire
No one was injured in a late evening fire on Gregory Drive in Mount Prospect Monday, officials said.
Deputy Chief Chris Truty of the Mount Prospect Fire Department said they were called to the 100 clock of Gregory at about 5:30 p.m. Monday evening for a fire that ignited in an attached two-car garage.
He said the fire had spread slightly to the house when firefighters arrived on the scene, and that firefighters worked quickly to knock the blaze down.
No one was injured in the fire, but the cause of te blaze and the amount of damages remain under investigation, he said.
The home was deemed uninhabitable after the blaze was put out, he said.
Fire officials will be back on the scene today to continue investigating the fire.
