Local dance groups to perform Jan. 28-29 at Rosemont travel show
Several of Chicago's own dance studios and performance groups will be featured on the Travel & Adventure Show's Global Beats Stage Jan. 28-29, presenting entertaining looks into various dance styles and international cultures.
Participating studios include: Natya Dance Theatre, McNulty Irish Dancers, Siboney Dance Company & Mixed Motion Arts, Demeira Dance School, Ohana Entertainment, Mexican Folklore Dance Company and more.
Cultural performances from around the world will be presented by these local dance groups and more non-stop from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday. This will include belly dancing, jazz, swing dancing and dancing styles from Ireland, Native Americans, Indonesia, Mexico, India, China, the Philippines, Hawaii and more.

The Chicago Travel & Adventure Show will present entertaining performances and inspiring experts over two days (Jan. 28 and 29) to help you travel smarter. Highlights include appearances by Travel Channel stars Samantha Brown and Mark DeCarlo and activities like scuba diving, rock wall climbing, zip-lining, the Fiery Foods competition, cooking demonstrations and exotic travel destinations around the world.
The Chicago Travel & Adventure Show opens Saturday, Jan. 28, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Jan. 29, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont. (The show opens 9:30 a.m. Saturday for travel professionals.) Adult admission is $9 online with Promo Code: CHPR or $15 at the door. Children 16 year old and under are free.
