West Chicago man charged with assaulting girl, 9

A West Chicago man has been charged with sexually assaulting a 9-year-old girl, according to court records released Friday.

Miguel Fuentes, 36, of the 1100 block of Elizabeth Street, was indicted by a grand jury on two counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child.

Fuentes was charged as the result of an investigation by the DuPage County Children’s Center into allegations stemming from December contact with the alleged victim.

Fuentes remained in the county jail Friday without bail, according to the sheriff’s website, and is scheduled to appear Monday before Judge John Kinsella.
