Wheeling Twp. tax appeal deadline is Friday

The Cook County Board of Review will accept appeals of 2011 Wheeling Township assessments until Friday, Jan. 20, from Wheeling Township taxpayers. Those taxpayers that appealed their Jan. 1, 2010, triannual reassessments and received reductions probably would not benefit from another appeal. All current valuations and appeal histories are shown at cookcountyassessor.com. You can appeal on the Internet, or at the Wheeling Township Assessor’s office, which has data on comparable properties that can be helpful.
