Man’s body found near West Chicago school
A man’s body was found Tuesday morning along Bishop Street on the eastern edge of the West Chicago Middle School property, authorities said.
Preliminary results of an autopsy conducted by the DuPage County coroner’s office were inconclusive in the death of Miguel Quinones, 22, of West Chicago, said Michael Uplegger, West Chicago deputy chief of police.
Toxicology results are expected in six weeks. There were no immediate signs of foul play, Uplegger said.
Police were notified of the body by a male passer-by at 11:27 a.m., and the area was cordoned off.
West Chicago Elementary District 33 officials said they do not believe any students saw the body. They said school personnel kept students clear of the area.
Traffic on Bishop Street was blocked until about 7 p.m. Tuesday. Afternoon band and orchestra were canceled, school officials said.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at (630) 293-2222.
