Looking for the perfect preschool for your child?

Friendship Station Preschool is hosting an open house for prospective students and parents from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24 at Friendship Station Preschool, 1415 Viking Drive.

The open house will give parents the chance to find out about Friendship Station Preschool, tour classrooms, meet the staff, and ask any questions they have. Children are welcome to attend.

Friendship Station is a joint program between the Geneva Park District and the Geneva Unit District 304. This inclusion program is staffed by park district and school district employees and has benefited all of the preschoolers.

Friendship Station Preschool is guided by the philosophy of learning through play. Play is where the child learns how to share, create, cooperate, interact and solve problems. Because each child is individual and unique, emphasis is placed on developing positive self-concept. In keeping with the guidelines of District 304 regarding early learning and literacy, this preschool program will provide appropriate activities to enhance literary enrichment of the young child.

For children not currently enrolled, a completed registration form, copy of birth certificate, and a $50 deposit may be dropped off at Sunset Community Center, 710 Western Ave., beginning Wednesday, Feb. 1. All resident registrations received by 5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8 will be processed randomly beginning on Thursday, Feb. 9. Resident registrations received at 5 p.m. Feb. 8 will be processed in the order as they are received. Nonresident registrations will be processed beginning Feb. 22.
