Cantigny Park to hold bridal show Jan. 29

Brides-to-be can gather ideas, learn about wedding vendors and even finalize plans for their big day during the fourth annual Cantigny Bridal Show.

The show runs 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 29, at the Cantigny Visitors Center, 1S151 Winfield Road, Wheaton. A wide variety of local vendors will exhibit their goods and services — photographers, engravers, formal wear, ice sculptors, florists, DJs, hotels, limos and more. Guests will also see simulated room setups and table décor.

Organizers say brides and grooms can learn a lot that will help them plan their weddings.

“For couples planning their big day, our bridal show is a fun, delicious and productive way to spend the afternoon,” said Mike Machay, Cantigny’s director of food and beverage.

Meanwhile, the event allows Cantigny Park to showcase itself as a potential location for weddings and receptions, Machay said. At the bridal show, Cantigny’s culinary team will offer samples of menu items, including soups, hors d’oeuvres, late-night snacks, dessert/pastry table and wedding cake. Wine and champagne will be served.

Cantigny hosts wedding ceremonies in its formal gardens and welcomes receptions at Le Jardin, the restaurant and banquet room inside the Visitors Center that allows for up to 250 guests. Ceremonies also may be held at Cantigny Golf, with a reception in the Red Oak Room, which accommodates 150 guests.

The Cantigny Bridal Show is free for brides already booked at Cantigny, and each may bring one guest free. The cost for others is $20 per person. Advance registration is requested by Friday, Jan. 20, at (630) 260-8260 or jchase@cantigny.org.
