Township grateful for resident support
On behalf of the Hanover Township officials and all the staff and volunteers of our Welfare Services department, I would like to thank the community for their outpouring of support during this past holiday season.
Due to the generosity of the Bartlett Lions Club, Ultra Foods in Hanover Park, Jewel-Osco of Bartlett and Streamwood, and donations to the Township Food Pantry, we were able to donate over 600 holiday meal boxes to needy families.
Over 1,480 children had toys to open as a result of the generous support to our Toy Drive and Sponsor-A-Family program. Thank you to the 20 businesses, community partners and local municipal offices for allowing their lobbies and offices to be used as drop off locations.
Every holiday season we continue to be overwhelmed by the tremendous support our residents, neighbors and friends show to those in need and we never take it for granted.
Throughout the year, we rely on the support of the community to stock the shelves of the Food Pantry. No tax dollars are spent on purchasing resources for the pantry. Donations for the pantry can be dropped off at the Hanover Township offices in Bartlett at 250 S. Route 59 or at the Astor Avenue Community Center at 7431 Astor Ave. in Hanover Park.
Thank you again to everyone who sponsored a family or dropped off toys for children during this holiday season.
