Suburbia's Got Talent: Jennifer Cha
Up and coming violin virtuoso Jennifer Cha is a 14-year-old sophomore at Neuqua Valley High School in Naperville. This past summer she was featured on WFMT radio's Introductions and From the Top programs.
Charles Staley, fine arts chairman at Neuqua Valley, calls Jennifer "one of the rising stars of the Chicago music scene," She began playing the violin at 4, gave her first recital at 7, and made her concerto debut at 11 with the Oistrach Symphony Orchestra. Jennifer toured Germany in 2003 and Italy in 2005 and performed for Pope Benedict XVI. She's won numerous awards and performed at the Ravinia Music Festival as part of the Kraft for Kids series.
