Kids to make ice cream at Arlington museum

The “I Scream for Ice Cream” class will meet 4-5 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 12 at the Arlington Heights Historical Museum, 110 W. Fremont St. The class introduces new foods to mix with ice cream for kids ages 4-9 years. Young chefs will also create toppings and make sundaes.

Taught by Chef Dave of Dave’s Specialty Foods in Mount Prospect, kids learn to make responsible food choices, even for treats and learn that healthy selections can include sweets if chosen wisely.

The fee is $22 for Arlington Heights Park District residents and $27 for nonresidents. To register, visit ahmuseum.org, click on the “classes/programs” tab and follow the link for Cooking with Chef Dave. Registrations may also be made in person at any park district facility.
