Warrenville Arts Council offers writing workshop
After reuniting with family and friends during the holidays, perhaps you’ve started to realize how precious these ties are and how life brings twists and turns we don’t expect.
Gathering photos is one way to preserve our memories, but they can be incomplete without an accompanying narrative. So perhaps it’s time for you consider creating a written record of a treasured family member or friend.
For those who may need a little guidance in the writing department, the Warrenville Arts Council is hosting Ted Kluck’s Writer’s Workshop at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15, at IBEW Local 701, 28600 Bella Vista Parkway, Warrenville. Kluck’s workshop includes two, one-hour sessions: one on memoir writing, the other on narrative fiction.
Kluck is an author, speaker and screenwriter whose work has appeared in ESPN the Magazine and Sports Spectrum magazine, as well as at ESPN.com.
Kluck played professional indoor football, coached high school football, trained as a professional wrestler, served as a missionary and taught writing courses at the college level. He currently lives in Grand Ledge, Mich. For information, visit his website at tedkluck.com.
