American Cancer Society offers endurance training
Local athletes and community members who have made a New Year’s resolution to get into shape will have the opportunity to help save lives from cancer by participating in upcoming endurance events through the American Cancer Society DetermiNation team.
An informational session about the effort will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19 at REI, 1209 E. Golf Road in Schaumburg.
DetermiNation participants help raise funds for the fight against cancer by taking part in endurance events such as an 8K, 10-mile, half-marathon or marathon with access to free professional training, an unparalleled community of support and inspiration every step of the way.
