Bolingbrook man charged with prostituting 17-year-old

A 39-year-old Bolingbrook man has been charged with sex trafficking of a minor, whom he prostituted through advertisements on the Internet, according to a federal complaint.

Mckenzie J. Carson, who goes by the name “Casino”, was arrested Tuesday at his residence on the 200 block of Campbell Drive and charged with one count of sexual trafficking of children by force, fraud or coercion, according to authorities.

Carson has been recruiting young women, including girls under the age of 18, to work for him since at least 2010, according to the complaint.

Authorities allege Carson set up “dates” for the women through Internet advertisements and cellphone calls at motels, hotels and other locations where he would drive the girls.

Carson is also accused of raping a 17-year-old girl the first time they met, before he prostituted the girl the same night at a motel in Elk Grove Village, according to the complaint.

A second victim, who was 20 at the time, says Carson raped and beat her numerous times including once when she told him she no longer wanted to work for him, according to the complaint.

Carson appeared in court Tuesday afternoon and was ordered held without bond pending his court appearance scheduled for Friday afternoon.

If convicted, Carson faces a minimum sentence of 15 years in prison and a maximum of life in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.
