Chicago Express helps Elk Grove family

The Chicago Express will donate $5 from every $17 ticket purchased for their game against the Kalamazoo Wings at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30, to help the Evans family of Elk Grove Village. The game will take place at the Sears Centre Arena, 5333 Prairie Stone Parkway in Hoffman Estates. Joan Evans, who is battling stage three breast cancer, and her husband Mark, who is out of a job, have four disabled children. The fundraiser is sponsored by Project Flipmode, a Bloomingdale-based organization that helps families facing homelessness or other difficulties.
