Democrats fancy a Gingrich nomination
Why is Mitt Romney more electable than Newt Gingrich? Facts are facts. Some years ago I heard Sen. Dick Durbin say Newt was some kind of clown in the back of the room who no one listened to, and now in amazement he's speaker of the House!
So Newt is someone the Dems think they could rally against and define him as out of touch with America. They ran against him before and ran him out of Congress and the speaker's job. This was some years ago. The Dems would love to run against Newt. They could define him as some kind of radical, right-wing kook who wants to take away your welfare.
