Santa Claus, Rockland students bring cheer to Advocate Condell patients

Dozens of patients at Advocate Condell Medical Center got a healthy dose of Christmas cheer as Santa Claus and students from Rockland Elementary School in Libertyville paid a visit just before the holiday.

Bearing gifts of handmade mini-Christmas trees, the kids went from room to room spreading cheer.

“The kids have been so excited about this,” said Cindi Sartain, a School District 70 art teacher.

Sartain said all of the Rockland students worked to create nearly 80 decorated trees made from mat board and covered with gem stones, paint and glitter. “They are very creative,” she said.
