Police ID woman found dead in Glendale Heights
Glendale Heights police have identified the woman found dead Friday as Carol Bair-Calzaretta, 39, who lived in town on the 1500 block of Jill Court.
Police continue to investigate the woman’s death and say a man walking his dog made the discovery shortly before 6:30 a.m., near a lake south of the Glendale Heights Historic House. There were no immediate signs of foul play or injury.
“She had obviously been out in the cold for several hours,” said Glendale Heights Police Cmdr. Dennis Schar.
Bair-Calzaretta was found lying in the grass near the lake along the 300 block of Windy Point Road. Her vehicle was parked at the historic house, where it had been since at least midnight, authorities said.
Coroner’s officials said an autopsy Friday was inconclusive, pending toxicology tests and a pathology report.
Investigators, meanwhile, were reaching out to the woman’s family, friends and co-workers to try to establish a timeline, Schar said.
“A lot of people go to walk at the lake,” he said. “If that’s what she was doing, I have no idea. It’s just a matter of turning over every stone.”
Police asked that anyone with information on the case call (630) 260-6070.
