Blago sentence shows flaws in system
I feel that since Rod Blagojevich’s guilt or innocence was decided by a jury, that his sentence should have also been decided by a jury. Why do we give one person the responsibility of determining another individual’s fate?
Blagojevich did not commit a crime worthy of 14 years in a federal institution. We have Catholic priests who sexually molested children who are roaming the streets free. Our system is flawed and needs to be changed. Blagojevich’s sentence should be put to a vote of the people, not one person sitting on a bench. I hope that he wins his appeal.
