The Suburbs This Weekend: 'White Christmas' and other holiday presentations

This week Sean and Richard highlight the original 1954 movie production of 'White Christmas,' local radio broadcast re-creations of "It's a Wonderful Life," and "A Christmas Carol," getting photos of Santa and your pets, and a display of paintings and sculptures by local Jewish artists.

Sean recommends The Buddy Foundation's "Photos with Santa" event Saturday in Arlington Heights. You're invited to have your kids and pets pose for a photo with Santa.

Sean also recommends the 1954 Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye holiday classic "White Christmas" to be show Saturday at the Genesee Theatre in Waukegan.

With Hanukkah just around the corner, Richard offers up paintings and sculptures from The American Jewish Club starting Sunday at the Schaumburg Prairie Center for the Arts.

And as an old-time radio show buff, Richard also recommends productions of "It's a Wonderful Life," Sunday at the Oak Park Arms and "A Christmas Carol," Saturday and Sunday by the Improv Playhouse and GreenStick Theater Company in Libertyville.
