Golf outing nets $1,800 for needy families

The staff at Bridges of Poplar Creek Country Club in Hoffman Estates raised more than $1,870 to purchase Christmas gifts for seven needy families in Hoffman Estates. The staff at Bridges did all the shopping and wrapping, and also delivered the gifts.

The money was raised at the Make A Holiday Wish Come True Golf Outing on Nov. 19 when golfers from throughout the area played their final rounds of golf for the season on the Bridges' newly renovated golf course.

“Everyone had a great time at the golf outing raising money for a really worthy cause,” said Brian Bechtold, general manager at Bridges of Poplar Creek Country Club. “And our staff really enjoyed it.”

Bridges of Poplar Creek Country Club is a championship 18-hole golf course open to the public. For more information, visit bridgesofpoplarcreek.com.
