In search of a worthy GOP candidate

Daily, I marvel at the ebb and rise of Republican candidates for president. It is as if the party (bludgeoned by the lunatics running the Tea Party) keeps searching for the least-qualified person possible to represent them. Newt Gingrich has no moral compass whatsoever. Michele Bachman rants about big government but sucks up federal dollars for her business ventures with her husband to “cure” homosexuality. Good ol’ boy Rick Perry can’t speak in public and has no knowledge of what the U.S. Constitution does and does not allow presidents to do. Mitt Romney has never met a position on an issue that he doesn’t like. Rick Santorum probably holds a record for presidential candidates with the widest margin of being bounced out of a Senate office. And then we come to Herman Cain. This man proves the saying of being able to rise to the level of your incompetence. He should have quit with pizza.

Romney is a “job creator” who mainly fired people at Bain Capital. Gingrich and Cain hate “big government” but earned their living as lobbyists. The only two candidates who used their heads for something other than keeping their ears from banging into each other are either gone or going. Tim Pawlenty ran out of money and Jon Huntsman can’t get anywhere. It seems as if anyone who displays an ounce of common sense is immediately rejected and berated by the ridiculous right.
