Hersey play chosen for theater festival

Hersey High School’s fall production of “Little Women: The Musical” has been selected by a panel of judges for performance at the 37th annual Illinois High School Theatre Festival, Jan. 5-7 at Illinois State University in Normal, Ill.

The largest and oldest noncompetitive high school theater festival in the world, the three-day event brings together more than 4,000 students, teachers, university representatives, exhibitors, and volunteers to present selected productions and participate in workshops.

Local audiences will have one last opportunity to see the production 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, in Hersey’s theater, 1900 E. Thomas St. in Arlington Heights. Tickets can be reserved by contacting Joann Langley at (847) 718-4882 or joann.langley@d214.org.
