Woman who went missing in Schaumburg found safe

An elderly Arlington Heights woman with dementia who went missing for several hours this morning after walking out of the Woodfield Shopping Center has been located, police said.

The 77-year-old woman was found in good health in Arlington Heights, police Sgt. John Nebl said. Further details were not immediately available.

The woman was reported missing this morning at the mall, where she and her husband walk regularly. Mall security cameras showed her exiting the mall about 8:45 a.m. near the Macy’s store, police said.
