Stevenson support group joins national fundraising program

The Stevenson High School Foundation has been selected as one of the first education groups in the country to be part of a national initiative called Create Excitement for Public Schools.

The program is a marketing campaign that allows schools to partner with Amazon, Groupon and other companies to raise money for programs.

Individuals who register for the program will receive daily emails with links to deals of the day at Amazon, Groupon, Identity Direct and Mabel’s Labels.

A portion of purchases made through the links in the daily emails will go to the Stevenson Foundation, which supports the Lincolnshire high school.

Money raised through the Create Excitement for Public Schools effort will go to the foundation’s Kids In Need fund and its Innovation Grant Program. The fund provides assistance for school-related expenses to Stevenson students in financial need.

The fund also supplements the free and reduced lunch program with a free breakfast program.

The Innovation Grant Program supports educational, co-curricular and community-based initiatives and opportunities in District 125.
