At the recent Illinois MainStreet state conference, MainStreet Libertyville was awarded the Lt. Governor's Award for Excellence in Downtown Revitalization in the category of fundraising for the Twilight Shuffle 5K Run held on Labor Day weekend. Race directors Beth Kraft and Stephanie Herbek were thrilled that the Twilight Shuffle was honored with this award. “With tremendous support from our sponsors, volunteers, and the MainStreet Libertyville organization, we work very hard to make the Twilight Shuffle a family-friendly, successful event year after year. We're proud to have our efforts recognized by Illinois MainStreet.” Pam Hume, Executive Director said, "We are so fortunate to have 2 very organized, dedicated co-chairs as Stephanie and Beth. This event has become a much anticipated community event. With the course running through the east side of Libertyville the residents turn out to encourage the participants.
