Scouting report: What a 180-degree turn from a year ago. The Warriors, with four starters returning and seven seniors on the roster, can now be considered a veteran team. They exhibited their readiness in a season-opening win over Serena. Drury and Witt make up a nice inside-outside tandem. Point guard Witt led the Warriors, scoring 12 points a game last year. Strong, physical Drury, who averaged 8.8 points and 6.9 rebounds, has worked as hard as anyone to develop her skills and leadership qualities in growing into her game. Gorski is a four-year varsity player. Mitchell expects to transition back to a more up-tempo style with a well-conditioned, experienced group. The Warriors, dropped down to Class 2A, could make postseason noise. "These kids have a lot of potential," Mitchell said. "They are playing with more confidence."
