Scouting report: As she begins her fifth season, Knights coach Martha Kelly says her team is biting at the bit to start the season. "This is one of the most competitive and aggressive groups that Prospect has ever had." she said. "The MSL East is still one of the most competitive conferences in the area and there will be no easy games for the Knights." The Knights have solid outside shooting in the backcourt. Molini scored a career-high 17 points against Rockton Hononegah with 5 3-pointers and Brucci hit a pair of 3-pointers when she netted a career-best 10 points against Wheeling. Maura Benson scored a personal-best 12 points against Rolling Meadows. The Knights have always played a tough schedule and with the addition of the York Thanksgiving tournament, it will be even tougher. "We will be looking to upset some teams, starting at York (York, Conant, Neuqua Valley, Wheaton North and St. Charles North are in the field). We have a great bunch of girls," Kelly said. "They are so positive and get along really well, one of the intangibles to a successful team. We have a lot of returning talent. There is a lot of potential there. Our success will depend upon our effort."
