Last year: 16-16 overall, 5-7 (fourth) in the Metro Suburban Conference; lost to Marshall 59-20 in the Class 3A Chicago Marine Academy sectional semifinal.

Top players: Taylor Pugliese, sr., G; Dylin Coons, sr., F; Katie Rubright, sr., G; Amanda Weldon, sr., G.

Scouting report: Fenton brings back eight seniors from a team that won a regional last season, but the most intriguing returning players might be junior Sidney Montano and sophomore Alissa Whyte. Both players missed all of last season with ACL injuries — Whyte after leading Fenton in scoring in the season opener — and their returns should make an already deep team even stronger. “We are very deep,” Anderson said. “This is the deepest my team has been in a long, long time.”
