Arlington Hts. museum offers peek at 125th exhibit

Arlington Heights is gearing up to celebrate its upcoming 125th Anniversary. “A Night at the Museum … 125 Years of Arlington Heights History Comes Alive” is a special event hosted by the Arlington Heights Historical Society to celebrate the kickoff of the Quasquicentennial celebration.

From 6:30-10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, participants will get a sneak peek of the Historical Society’s upcoming exhibit “Arlington Heights: Through the Decades,” meet historical figures from Arlington Heights’ past, enjoy wine tasting, hors d’oeuvres and behind the scene tours of our historic homes including entertainment.

Tickets are $50. Buy them in person at the Arlington Heights Historical Museum office, 110 W. Fremont, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. today and Friday; and 1:30-4:30 p.m. at the Heritage Gallery, 112 W. Fremont, on Friday. Credit card purchases may be made online at www.ahmuseum.org or by calling (847) 255-1225.

The full exhibit of “Through the Decades” opens Jan. 14. The current exhibit, “Arlington Artists on Display,” will remain until Dec. 31.

Event proceeds assist with restoration of the historic homes on the museum grounds and funding upcoming exhibits in the Heritage Gallery.
