Speed cameras a slippery slope
How many lawmakers do you think are receiving big fat checks from companies wanting to get contracts installing speed cameras and red-light cameras? Don’t you think any lawmaker receiving monies from such companies should reveal his conflict of interest and excuse himself from voting on such legislation? If politicians vote to blanket Chicago with speed cameras, how long do you think it will be before they install these cameras on the expressways? Has anyone even thought of all the traffic nightmares that will come out of all this? I think greed and power has overcome any common sense and rational thinking — all in the name of your safety.
