Blackhawks game day
St. Louis Blues at Scottrade Center, 7 p.m.
TV: Comcast SportsNet
Radio: WGN 720-AM
What to watch: The Blues should be fired up and a dangerous team to play in their first game for new coach Ken Hitchcock, who took over Sunday when Davis Payne was fired. The Blues were off to a 6-7 start under Payne with a power play that ranks last in the NHL and a penalty-killing unit that is 27th. The Hawks will be trying to snap a two-game winless streak during which they have allowed 11 goals. Corey Crawford starts in goal.
Season series: First meeting
Next: Columbus Blue Jackets at Nationwide Arena, 6 p.m. Thursday.
