Naperville Rotary Clubs collecting winter wear for needy
The Rotary Club of Naperville Sunrise and the Rotary Club of Naperville South are teaming up for a clothing drive to benefit those in need of warm winter clothing.
Rotary volunteers have placed boxes in the community to receive donations of coats, jackets, hats, gloves, scarves and mittens. All sizes, infant through adult, are accepted, although the need is great for men’s and women’s size XL, 2XL and 3XL.
The drive runs through Friday, Dec. 2.
Hesed House, DuPage PADS and Sharing Connections will benefit from the drive. Additionally, Indian Prairie Unit District 204 will receive winter clothing for students in need.
“The Rotary members’ belief in service above self is truly evident with the support they provide throughout the year to District 204 and our families in need,” said Jason Altenbern, the district’s community relations coordinator. “Indian Prairie is grateful for the ongoing support it receives from annual outreach programs like the winter clothing drive sponsored by the Rotary Club of Naperville Sunrise and the Rotary Club of Naperville South.”
