JD Norman Industries acquires Len Industries

Addison-based Diversified metal component manufacturer JD Norman Industries Inc. announced that it has acquired the assets of Len Industries Inc., a leading provider of precision machined components.

Len Industries operates three plants in Leslie, Mich. and serves customers within the automotive and industrial markets. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

“The acquisition of Len Industries will serve as a key strategic advancement for JD Norman,” said Justin D. Norman, president and chief executive officer, JD Norman Industries. “Len Industries’ product category of machined components will be added to our current product categories of stampings, fourslide components, coiled springs and value-added assemblies. The overlap of customers and industries served between JD Norman and Len Industries will allow for a successful integration of the two organizations.”

The company believes that the acquisition of Len Industries achieves its business model of engineering focus, product diversity, integrated business units and geographic reach.

“It is JD Norman’s intention to integrate Len Industries into our overall corporate umbrella and to continue to operate the three plants in Leslie, Michigan,” Norman said. “The talented and dedicated staff of Len Industries will be a great addition to the JD Norman organization.”
