Good call on debit card fee protest
To all of you who chose to respond by taking action against Bank of America’s debit card fee charges, I applaud each of you. You and you alone made a statement to the American financial institutions that we have choices.
I would love to know what the numerical numbers were of the people who cut up their cards, closed their accounts, called to complain about unfairness of making exorbitant profits above reasonable limits and taking advantage of people who have real needs.
You spoke about what free enterprise is all about. Supply and demand and freedom of choice which you chose to give your business too. It is time for Americans to take matters into their own hands and send a signal to those who choose greed over community responsibility.
Who is the next Bank of America? Is it ComEd? Is it the Illinois legislature? Let’s start with Congress next, as been suggested, that if you don’t get to work to fix our economy we will vote you out. The voting booth is our opportunity to speak with our feelings united against not doing a job you said you wanted to do for we the people.
