Wrong place, wrong time for bus

As a parent of a volleyball player, the bus accident with the Libertyville volleyball players drew my attention quickly. I was glad to see that there were no fatal injuries and hope everyone involved will be OK. I have one burning question that I can’t seem to understand. Why was that bus at the intersection of Rt. 83 and Washington St. in Grayslake? Taking that route to Woodstock High School couldn’t be more out of the way from Libertyville High School. That bus should have taken Rt. 176 all the way to Rt. 14 which goes right through Woodstock. Whoever or however they came up with the route that they took should seriously be looked into. Classic case of being somewhere were they should not have been.
