Overwhelmed by GOP debates
Twelve more Republican debates from November through March? Give us a break. If the Republican Party has actually scheduled a dozen or more episodes of its road show, it may discover that none of the candidates are left standing by spring. Most of them will have been pushed off the platform by the attacks of the other presidential hopefuls and by their own inaccurate statements.
The leapfrogging of the Republican state committees to be first to hold a caucus or primary could result in one being held this Thanksgiving, possibly making the remaining debates irrelevant. Prospective voters have probably learned by now all they need or want to know about the contenders from viewing the first three panels.
The current slate of GOP (Growing Our Panels) candidates is the least inspirational that I have witnessed since starting to vote in 1952.
