Towns propose solutions to ComEd outage failures

The Village of Schaumburg in conjunction with other municipalities is working through the Northwest Municipal Conference to address ComEd's inadequate response to the repeated outages.

In addition to meeting with ComEd representatives, the NWMC has drafted a plan outlining proposed legislative and regulatory actions to raise ComEd's reliability and outage response standards.

At a press conference on October 11, the NWMC presented their proposal to state Sen. Susan Garrett, who plans to include the suggestions in a bill she'll be introducing at the upcoming veto session in Springfield.
