Look at the good teens are doing
The Oct. 11 Associated Press article, “Police say teens plotted Palos Park murders for months,” disgusted me in so many ways. I hate seeing stories like this where teens think they own the world and are such immoral, sick despicable individuals who would kill their own parents. Society nowadays has no respect for anyone anymore. I love and respect everyone’s family and mine even more. The problem with these teens is that they are just sick-minded.
In the future, I would like to see more stories about teens doing good deeds. The Daily Herald needs to provide balance by reporting the positive actions of teens as well at the negative crimes they commit. Writing about the horrible crimes teens do nowadays sometimes negatively influences young people to imitate violent behavior. It is important that people do not stereotype teens by thinking that they all are criminals. Newspapers need to focus on the positive behavior of teens so young people can have role models.
