West Chicago Library offers job search workshops

West Chicago Public Library, 118 W. Washington St., offers a series of job search workshops in conjunction with Jim Pacholski, who recently retired from his second career after eight years as a job counselor for McHenry County Workforce Network in Woodstock.

Resumes and Cover Letters: Participants learn what is needed to be successful in today’s job search. Review the various types of resumes, the importance of cover letters, and the all important thank you notes. Meets at 7 p.m. Wednesdays, Nov. 2 and Dec. 14.Interviewing Skills: What questions should I ask? What cannot be asked of me? How should I dress? When do I ask about salary? All of these questions and more will be answered in this session at 7 p.m. Thursdays, Nov. 3 and Dec. 15.Job Hunting During the Holidays: How will you approach the next four to six weeks of the holiday season with regards to your job search? The workshop is offered at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16.
