Coroner: Bills C Hull died of intestinal bleeding
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — A coroner’s report says former Buffalo Bills center Kent Hull died of intestinal bleeding.
Coroner Will Gnemi in Leflore County, Miss., released his finding Wednesday, a day after Hull died in his hometown of Greenwood, Miss.
The 50-year-old Hull was a three-time Pro Bowl selection during his 11 years with the Bills before retiring following the 1996 season. He was a key contributor to the Jim Kelly-led “K-Gun” offense, and part of a team that won four consecutive AFC titles from 1991-94. He was also a star center at Mississippi State, where he was inducted into the school’s sports hall of fame in 2000.
In a statement released by the team, Bills owner Ralph Wilson described Hull as “a great leader” and “a true gentleman.”
